Walk on the esplanade

We went for a walk along the Portland Esplanade recently...here are a few photos of our venture. It was the first time Ella and I had been there...Jason had been there one time before. Great views of the city! There are tons of people out running and walking on it - a place we'll return to for sure.

We weighed Ella last night on Anna and Cody's Wii and she is up to 9.9 lbs. She will be 5 weeks old on Friday. Time is flying by.

Here are a few more photos we've taken lately...

Precious

Tulip Festival

A couple of weekends ago while Stacey was here to visit we went to the tulip festival just South of us. We caught a break in the clouds and got a bit of sunshine, we sure were lucky...just after we got in the car the skies opened up and poured like crazy. They had lots of kid activities to do, it will be fun to take Ella to when she's a little older and running around like crazy.

First Mother's Day

We had a fun filled weekend. Friday night Ella got to visit her Grandpa and Grandma's house and meet her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa for the first time. Saturday we had another family gathering with Jason's side. We got to see all of his Aunts and Uncles that he has not seen for a very long time. It was a nice visit. Sunday Jason took the baby in the morning and let me sleep an extra two hours. That was the best Mother's Day gift a mom could ask for. He made me a wonderful breakfast and then the three of us took a walk to the park. We went to have dessert with Ella's other grandparents to finish out the weekend. It was wonderful to celebrate Mother's Day with so much of our family.

Here are some pictures that Jason took of Ella. It's so fun to see her change and grow even in such a short amount of time.

Saturday Market

So after being at home for 2 weeks and just going out for the essential Dr. appointments etc we were getting a little stir crazy. Stacey came to visit us from Salt Lake City this weekend so it was a good excuse to get outside a bit. It was so nice to get to spend a little time with her and to share a bit of life with a newborn with her. We went to Saturday Market this weekend and walked around a little...we figured it was rather safe since it was open air and easy to leave if Ella had a meltdown. She slept the whole time, she really loves riding in her stroller, it just rocks her to sleep I think (maybe we should try it at night as an alternative sleep spot...lol). It poured on us while we were at the market, we got to test out the waterproofness of the stroller...it held it's own and the baby stayed dry, the same can't be said for the rest of us, we were pretty well drenched!
